Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990 in Indian Hills, Kentucky.

Growing up her father, Gary, was a construction worker and her mother, Karen, managed a summer camp.

The actress has two older brothers named Ben and Blaine. Jennifer was raised to be “tough” like her brothers.

Growing up, Jennifer has serious social anxiety and didn’t feel like she fit in at school. The only time this anxiety melted away was when she performed.

The actress graduated from high school in just two years with a 3.9 GPA.

She dated Chris Martin (from Coldplay) for a while, but things ended in the summer of 2015.

Lawrence recieved her first Academy Award nomination for the lead in Winter’s Bone, an Indie film released in 2010.

Jennifer played softball, field hockey, and was a cheerleader growing up.

The talented actress never had any formal training. She was discovered at age 14 while on a spring break trip with her family and asked to do a screen test the very next day.

Lawrence wanted to be a doctor when she was growing up. She even worked as an assistant nurse in her mother’s summer camp.

Lawrence initially turned down the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. She saw how it effected Kristin Stewart’s personal life after playing Bella Swan in the Twilight movies. Howver, she eventually took the part.

Jennifer trained with a four-time Olympian archer from the country of Georgia to prepare for her role in The Hunger Games.

After filming X-Men: First Class in London, Jennifer almost didn’t get her security deposit back for the Notting Hill apartment she stayed in. Why? Because her makeup from playing Mystique had stained the bathtub blue.

Lawrence claims to be the “fastest pee-er ever.”

Her family owned a horse farm while she was growing up in Kentucky.

In 2012, Jennifer got in a car accident because she thought she saw Honey Boo-Boo in a parade. Turns out the float was actually for breast cancer and said “boobs” on the side.

In 2014, Jennifer was a victim of the iCloud celebrity photo leaks and nude photos were released of her.

Apparently she falls down… A lot.

Lawrence married art gallery directer Cooke Maroney in 2019.

The actress has been known to swear like a sailor.
