Organizers disqualified the contestant who had already successfully reached the finals in the Miss Vancouver stage of the Miss Universe Canada beauty pageant.

 

Jenna Talackova was thrown out of the Miss Universe Canada beauty pageant after the organizers found out that the contestant had underwent transgender surgery at the age of 14. As long as the rules allow only “natural born females” to participate, Ms. Talackova, 23, was banned from the competition.
