Mysterious creature from Panama (6 pics)

This strange creature was found in Panama.
A group of children beat it to death with sticks, fearing that it might attack them.
It is unclear what kind of animal this is, but it may simply be a hairless sloth.
If so, then the poor animal was beaten to death for just being unusual and ugly. Great…((

Oh come on, stop pretending, that thing would scare you shitless too.
When you have the time to examine the pictures its obiously some kind of creepy bald sloth, but if you bump into it in the forest you might just beat it to death too.

I would scream maybe... I wouldn't beat the poor thing to death unless it attacked me. And seriously, it doesn't look vicious... especially since kids beat it with sticks...
